𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐟𝐟: I've been married to my high school sweetheart for over 30 years, and we have 2 adult kids. We live in a small town in the Rocky Mountains at 8,500 ft. elevation. We love cruises, hot springs, hiking, gardening, bird watching and fantasy football. Okay, maybe I'm the one that loves fantasy football. I am also a life-long, diehard, long-suffering, unapologetic 𝐖𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐝𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐬 fan (regardless of what other people may call them).

Understanding the importance of education, I returned to school in 2011. It soon became evident the many obligations that can get in the way of being successful as a returning adult student. Family, work, church and other activities although vital, can be a source of competition for someone wanting to advance themselves through higher education. The driving force behind my scholastic focus was knowing that no organization had really ever seen the “best version” of me, and despite consistent, yet modest success, I’d never really “felt” like the best version of myself.
